History of Ventura Greenhouse

The history of Ventura’s Greenhouse started back in the 1900’s when the building was a large rooming house. During the prohibition era, Ventura’s was a speakeasy. In the late 1930s and early 1940s, Greenhouse Margate was a watering hole for the infamous Atlantic City gangster of its time. In the 1950s, Ventura’s Margate became the famous beach bar and restaurant that is today. Ventura’s Greenhouse has survived multiple buyout offers and 4 major storms, most recently Hurricane Sandy. Post Sandy renovations, have made major improvements to Greenhouse Margate.

Greenhouse Margate menu has a wide selection of Italian specialities. Greenhouse Margate menu highlights include: hot and cold appetizers, chicken, steak, seafood, veal and pasta. Greenhouse Margate also has a tiki bar menu that include pizza, seafood and finger foods. Patrons love the late night pizza.
